In his free time, Oliver likes to sew and learn new songs on the piano.
Lucie Reinecke is performing her masters in biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin. She joined the Lab in January 2026 and is working with Jakob Grünewald on the regulatory mechanisms of MHC expression in cancer cells. In her free time, she likes to sing and paint.
Magdalena Frank studied stromal cell heterogeneity in colorectal cancer during her PhD in Immunology at the Medical University of Vienna. In our lab, she will investigate novel therapeutic avenues together with our collaboration partners at Boehringer Ingelheim. When not exploring the outdoors on long hikes or bikerides, Magdalena is usually busy sewing or knitting clothes or experimenting with sourdough recipes.
Catarina Pelicano obtained her PhD from the University of Cambridge, where she worked on transcription factor regulation in pancreatic cancer. She joins the Obenauf lab to investigate lung metastasis processes in osteosarcoma. Having recently moved to Vienna, Catarina is keen to explore the city, and also enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time outdoors.
