This past week Jingyi, a beloved PhD student in the Obenauf group, defended her thesis “Exploring the immunogenicity of cell death through the induction of GSSMD-mediated pyroptosis in cancer cells”. Jingyi presented the culmination of her efforts over the last four years in the lab.
Jingyi showcased her advanced knowledge of tumor cell death and immune signaling, and successfully defended, earning the title of PhD!
The lab, friends and family gathered after for celebratory food and drinks and to honor the new doctor!
